This piece of Harmonie-musik has the identical instrumentation and key as the Parthia in Dis by Joseph Reicha, Wineberger's colleague at the court of the Öttingen-Wallerstein family. Like Reicha, Paul Anton Wineberger (1758-1821) was a cellist; he was active at Schloss Wallerstein from 1782 until about 1794.

The parts from which I worked, like many others among the manuscripts of the Öttingen-Wallerstein collection, lack coordination of articulation and dynamics and much work was required to straighten things out. On the other hand, the job of creating a score and parts of this Pathia has been well worth the effort, since Wineberger has produced here a delightful music that is light in character but most engaging.

The movements, four in number, are laid out in the usual order typical of the Classical Era: quick sonata form, slow rondo, minuet with trio, and fast-paced rondo finale. In the trio of the Menuetto, the horns are notated in the dominant but without the attendant key signature.
