Fingering Table for Viennese Bassoon by Karl Mayer, member of the K. K . Hof-oper Wien. Published by Geberner & Hierhammer Wien, IV. Hptstr. 51. (Vienna, post 1894).
All holes covered, all keys down:
Db Ab Bb x x x | x x x F Ab c a c# c# E F# Ab B Eb Bb C D
Comments: The instrument features a G hole (R. H. ring finger). The Db key (L. H. little finger) opens a hole approximately half-way between the Db2 and Eb2 hole on a Heckel-system (and Almenraeder) bassoon. The R. H. thumb c# key articulates the same hole as the L. H. thumb c#. This c# hole is on the boot joint slightly below the metal band (above the E2 hole).
