IDRS Stolen Instrument Registry
IDRS will push new notifications about new stolen instruments through its social media accounts. Members are encouraged to check this list before purchasing any used double reed instrument.
The IDRS Stolen Instrument Registry was created in 1988 and unfortunately has grown ever since. Some instruments listed on the registry have been recovered, the most famous being a bassoon belonging to IDRS Honorary Member William Waterhouse (1931-2007), who recovered his lost Heckel bassoon after forty years.
