Description:Prestini 2 tip was used in Columbus Ohio (Neil House?) to make three reeds. The cane was thoroughly soaked and formed with string wrapping, possibly hot mandrel. Thus the tube is smaller and rounder and more rigid than in #23. There was troble with flatness, stiffness, and when the blades were made thinner the tone got buzzy. More cane should have been left in the spine, and the scraping done in the "channels". It was years before I was able to finish these 3 reeds satisfactorily, and I am not sure I could finish them quickly and well even now.
