The Double Reed Advertising
IDRS publishes four magazines annually containing news and articles of interest to oboists and bassoonists. The readership consists of amateurs, students, educators and professional musicians. The issues are mailed to over 2700 members and institutional subscribers in more than 55 countries. Approximately 80% of the members/ subscribers reside in the United States and Canada with the remainder all across the globe.

Print Advertising Categories
Short Term Advertisements are ads for which the advertiser orders a specific number of insertions. Payment in full at the time of billing must accompany such ad orders. Educational institutions may submit payment or a purchase order with the mechanicals. Payment terms for such institutions is NET 30 days from invoice date.
Continuing Contract Advertisements are ads placed without time limitation until cancelled in writing. Such ads will be billed at the regular billing interval for each issue. The ad may be changed and additional short-term ads of the same or smaller size may be ordered and also qualify for annual billing terms as long as the largest ad size continues without interruption in every issue.
Advertisers who purchase short term advertisements in 4 consecutive issues or a continuing contract advertisement will be eligible for a 10% total discount, in addition to any other applicable discounts, when paid in full at the beginning of the year or contract date. Print advertisers will be invoiced electronically on the first business day of the corresponding issue’s printing month.
Print Advertising Mechanical Requirements
Ads for submission must be high quality PDF files with all fonts embedded, 300 pixels per inch resolution, and CMYK or grayscale color space. Any deviation from these requirements will result in the loss of quality. We will not be responsible for the results if these requirements are not met. Proofs cannot be submitted for approval. IDRS cannot accept responsibility for typographical errors. Payment information can be found at the bottom of this page.

Digital Advertising
Website Advertising
IDRS.org receives thousands of views every month and is accessible to any visitor regardless of membership status. Advertisements will be displayed on select pages throughout the site, depending on the type of ad purchased. Web advertisements are offered in annual subscription packages. Available website advertisement contracts begin on the 1st and 15th of every month and last for one year. Website advertisements may be hyperlinked to the advertiser’s website.
E-Newsletter Advertising
IDRS’s 12 annual newsletters are delivered straight to its members’ email inboxes across the globe. In the “Sponsored Listings” section of the newsletter, members may feature their job listings, educational opportunities, events, and more. All listings on the Double Reed Opportunities and Events page on the IDRS website will remain free with membership. E-Newsletters contain one image-based business sponsorship per issue, which may be hyperlinked to the advertiser’s website.
Social Media Advertising
Social media advertising categories include standalone posts and group logo posts. Image and caption for a standalone post are provided by the advertiser and subject to edit for length and content by IDRS. Group logo posts consist of a single image containing the logos of up to five advertisers, with the logo provided by the advertiser.
There is advertising space for two standalone posts and one group logo post per month. Sponsored posts are first-come, first-serve. Both types of advertisements will be posted to all three of the IDRS social media platforms (Facebook, X, and Instagram) per purchase.
Digital Advertising Mechanical Requirements
Submitted digital ads should meet the pixel requirement for the type of ad purchased. Acceptable file types are JPG, or PNG. Any deviation from these requirements will result in the loss of quality. We will not be responsible for the results if these requirements are not met. Proofs cannot be submitted for approval. IDRS cannot accept responsibility for typographical errors.
