Sara Renner, Oboe and English Horn
This will be a live performance of the newly commissioned works for solo oboe, oboe and electronics, and solo English horn on my album, Oboe: Unfolded, which was released in 2020. The performance features works by two female composers and a Mexican composer. Oboe: Unfolded was a project to generate new unaccompanied repertoire to bridge the gap in the accessibility levels for performers and audiences. Given the rise to unaccompanied music this past year, Oboe: Unfolded presents a new set of works that are appropriate for upper-level undergraduate/graduate students and professionals.
