The Chamber Music & Orchestral Studio at the Trentino Music Festival offers bassoonists the opportunity to study in repertoire classes, private lessons, orchestra rehearsals, and chamber music coachings in the heart of Italy.

The Chamber Music & Orchestral Studio at the Trentino Music Festival offers young artists the opportunity to study with distinguished resident artists in repertoire classes, private lessons, and chamber music coachings. Morning sessions are tailored to include orchestral readings with internationally recognized resident conductors to prepare for concerts with the TMF Chamber Symphony, and the TMF Symphonic Orchestra. The afternoon sessions center around private lessons, master classes and chamber music coachings.

Chamber music is at the heart of the TMF instrumental program. The TMF Chamber Music Concert Series provides young artists an abundance of performance opportunities with concerts that are presented throughout the duration of the festival. Participants have the opportunity to collaborate with talented young musicians from around the world and to experience the rich cultural exchange that comes from performing with musicians from different cultures and countries in a beautiful international setting. Young artists are placed into small groups and provided with repertoire prior to their arrival in Italy. While lessons and master classes center on the technical expertise needed to succeed as a professional musician, daily coachings center on the art of collaboration and collective musical decision-making necessary for the artist to excel on the concert stage.

Performances are an integral part of your time at the TMF. The TMF Chamber Symphony is conducted by resident faculty artists who play alongside young artists in a repertoire that consists of standard and contemporary works. The TMF Symphonic Orchestra is led by Metropolitan Opera conductor J. David Jackson and encompasses a full range of strings, winds, brass, and percussion. Maestro Jackson takes great pride in providing an enriching orchestral experience for every player and chooses repertoire that will enhance the learning experience.

AUDITIONS:
The Trentino Music Festival Chamber Music Studio accepts video auditions. Applicants should prepare two selections in contrasting styles that show their musical and artistic abilities. Videos should be uploaded with your application and must be unlocked for viewing. The TMF has a rolling audition process with limited enrollment so early applications are highly recommended. Established chamber music groups are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants will be notified within ten days of their audition.
