Description:This was made form a tip brought back from Aspen around 1975 or 76, borrowed from a Sharrow student. This reed was made too far toward the tip of the shaper, came out too big, stuffy, flat. Tom said later that Sharrow's placement of the cane on the tip and forming the tube with soaking and drying produces a much narrower reed. cf. Van Hoesen p5.
