Terry Ewell
There are special challenges for part-time performing musicians who need to balance responsibilities to family and full-time work with infrequent performance schedules. In this presentation Terry B. Ewell will explain methods that he has developed during a 40-year career to arrive at peak performance shape with minimal practice time. Highlights of this presentation will include definitions of endurance and general conditioning, an overview of the five components for sound production, identification of muscle groups that decline with neglect, and strategies for a vacation away from the instrument and coming back to performance shape.
