IDRS Fernand Gillet-Hugo Fox International Competition and Young Artist Competition for Bassoon and Oboe

The IDRS sponsors two international competitions for oboe and bassoon that take place each year during its annual conferenece. The Fernand Gillet-Hugo Fox International Competition is for bassoonists and oboists who have not reached their 31st birthday by the date of the final round of the competition and the Young Artist Competition is for those who have not reached their 22nd birthday. Both competitions alternate each year between oboe and bassoon.

Repertoire for the 2011 Fernand Gillet-Hugo Fox competition for oboe

The International Double Reed Society is pleased to announce the repertoire for the 30th annual Fernand Gillet-Hugo Fox performance competition being held for oboists in the summer of 2011 at the annual conference May 31-June 4, 2011 in Tempe, AZ, USA. The competition is for oboists who have not reached their 31st birthday by the date of the final round of the competition (June 3rd, 2011). First prize for the 2011 competition is a $10,000 US cash award. The second prize is a $6000 US cash award. The third prize is a $2000 US cash award. The International Double Reed Society is pleased to announce the repertoire for the Young Artists performance competition being held for bassoonists in the summer of 2011 at the annual conference May 31-June 4, 2011 in Tempe, AZ, USA. The competition is for bassoonists who have not reached their 22nd birthday by the date of the final round of the competition (June 2, 2011).
